Winter and Spring were both cool with plentiful rainfall. Summer was mild, which led to a late start to vintage under clear sunny skies with cool nights. Yields were above average, with good flavour ripeness at low sugar levels.

The WinemakingWhole bunches of Fiano were pressed while cool. The juice was settled in tank for a number of days to achieve good clarity. Half of the juice was inoculated and fermented in tank at low temperature to maintain freshness, while the other half was barrel fermented in older puncheons with wild yeast to induce complexity. Both batches were sulphured immediately following completion of fermentation. The wine spent 3 months in older puncheons before being bottled on 31/07/17.
Very pale straw colour with green tints. The nose displays intense aromas of green apple, pear and grapefruit. The palate is crisp, dry and refreshing, with a lovely textural component to the very long finish.
